Appalachian Energy Summit 2021
The 2021 Appalachian Energy Summit will meet virtually on June 22-24 for the summer Summit. Usually held in the beautiful surrounds of the Appalachian State University campus in Boone, this year the Summit will be held online with an expanded program. The Energy Summit will feature an opening session, keynote address and Working Group sessions on Day 1, four different themes for sessions on Day 2, while Day 3 is dedicated to a Student Summit.
“This year’s ‘virtual’ Appalachian Energy Summit provides an opportunity to expand the reach of our audience and the scope of our programming,” says Dr. Lee Ball, Chief Sustainability Officer at Appalachian State University. “We strive to offer solution oriented content to help us all make measurable progress with our clean energy, energy efficiency, climate action goals, and sustainability goals.”
The Energy Summit started in 2012 and has a history of bringing together world-leaders in the energy and sustainability sectors. Attendees will hear from a range of academic, corporate and government speakers.
Attendance at the Appalachian Energy Summit is free.
